Investing in Campus Retail and Transforming Revenue Growth: Strategic Partners share a Vision for a Modern Flagship Store

Johnathan Reiter - Temple University

At Temple University, construction was underway on a new building in the heart of campus—designed to serve students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the broader Philadelphia community. Meanwhile, just around the corner in the basement of the Student Center, campus store revenues were underperforming. Temple’s leadership recognized the need for a strategic partner who could share their vision for modernizing campus services and lead a turnaround in course materials and retail performance.

This session explores how shared values, and strategic alignment laid the foundation for transformation. The result: a two-story, 28,000-square-foot flagship Temple Follett campus store opening in Fall 2025. Learn how this partnership reimagined the campus retail experience and drove investment in a space designed to support academic success and institutional growth.
