As artificial intelligence, cybercrime, and geopolitical threats continue to evolve, organizations face an increasingly complex risk landscape. In this interactive town hall session, a former FBI agent and nationally recognized expert in cybercrime and white-collar investigations will share practical strategies for anticipating, assessing, and responding to emerging threats before they become crises.

Drawing on methodologies commonly known as wargaming, tabletop exercises, crisis simulations, and predictive planning, participants will explore how organizations can prepare for incidents such as cyberattacks, data breaches, and operational disruptions. Through real-world examples, including lessons learned from recent higher education cybersecurity events, attendees will gain insight into how leaders can develop response frameworks, build cross-functional teams, and establish effective tactics, techniques, and procedures for a variety of risk scenarios.

The session will also examine how realistic role-playing exercises and crisis simulations can stress-test decision-making, reveal organizational vulnerabilities, and strengthen leadership readiness under pressure. Attendees will learn how these exercises help identify capability gaps, inform hiring and training priorities, and leverage external expertise when rapid response is critical.
